The Spanish labor market is poorly equipped to cover all its bases. Although the unemployment rate is 13.8%, there are many vacancies left unfilled due to a lack of qualified professionals. Experts point out that there is little correlation between the educational system and the demands of the labor market.
There are sectors with difficult coverage of vacancies such as the construction sector that has few specialists in masonry and hardware, as well as operators of cranes and other machines. In logistics there is a demand for forklift drivers and in the welder industries, milling machine operators and electromechanical specialists.
